Jefferson Chamber of Commerce hosted their Mayor's Panel at their Leadership Jefferson session, and Mayor Tim Baudier was invited to join. Specifically this session focused on Civic & Community Engagement, allowing Jefferson Parish mayors to discuss and share ideas. This meeting addressed municipal challenges regarding commerce support and identifying the types of commerce that are present in each municipality. Jefferson Chamber of Commerce focused on a few topics of discussion:
Business development and identifying what we can do better as a city to support new and existing businesses
Developing and updating the city's infrastructure to support the growth of business
Taking advantage of presented business opportunities and identifying what Harahan can do on a municipal level to capture these presented opportunities
Identifying the industries and businesses that Harahan prioritizes, if any, and discussing how the community would benefit
Discussing how Harahan is currently working with neighboring cities to support and achieve common economic goals
Thank you to the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce for inviting Harahan to this session and offering Mayor Baudier an opportunity to discuss economic and business matters with our neighboring communities. Lastly, Thank you to Mayor Baudier for taking his time to work towards a better Harahan and to continue the development of this beautiful city.
