City of Harahan's Park of Heroes Ribbon Cutting Event!

Harahan, it's time to see the transformation for yourself!

What began as an exciting vision is now a reality! The City of Harahan is thrilled to celebrate the completion of the Park of Heroes playground renovation, bringing a fresh, exciting recreational space to our community.

With the help of Pelican Playgrounds, this project has transformed the park into an inclusive, multi-generational destination where children can let their imaginations run wild, families can spend quality time together, and residents of all abilities can enjoy the outdoors.

Our community has already seen the difference that thoughtful playground improvements can make with the recent Royland Playground renovation, and we're excited to continue that momentum at the Park of Heroes. This new space reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance Harahan's parks and create more opportunities for residents to connect, stay active, and enjoy everything our community has to offer.

Now comes the fun part—celebrating the finished product!

We invite residents, families, and friends to join us for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday October 15, 2026 at 9:00am. Come explore the new playground, see the improvements firsthand, and help us mark another exciting investment in Harahan's future.

We're proud of what we've accomplished together and can't wait to see this playground filled with laughter, adventure, and community spirit.

We hope to see you there as we officially open the next chapter at Park of Heroes!
