The Harahan Police Department has announced the John Doyle Memorial Christmas Parade, scheduled for December 9th, 2023, commencing at 12:00 PM in the City of Harahan. This year's parade is dedicated to and renamed in honor of John Doyle, the esteemed founder of the City of Harahan's original Christmas parade and revered Police Chief from 1984 to 2002.

The parade will begin at the intersection of Hord Street and Jefferson Highway, advancing westward along Jefferson Highway. The procession will conclude at the intersection of Folse Street and Jefferson Highway. Chief Lepre extends a cordial invitation to the community to participate in this festive event. It's an excellent opportunity for families and individuals alike to engage in the spirit of the season and to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus!
